Great success with Mind Your Guest for Gambia Hotel Association

‘The smiling coast’ is the fitting nickname for hospitable Gambia. Under the flag of the Gambia Hotel Association (GHA), there are over 14 hotels and resorts, ranging from luxurious to well-cared-for establishments. Most of these hotels and resorts are situated right at the beautiful beach.

Beach and jungle

Gambia is a delightful sun destination. The long stretch of white beach invites you to take a dip in the Atlantic Ocean or enjoy one of the pools at your hotel or resort. Inland Gambia offers guided jungle tours, and you can spot the ‘big 5’ during a safari in the wild.

Marketing and communication

Mind Your Guest developed training, including ‘on-the-job’ sessions, for those responsible for marketing within GHA. The training covered various aspects, such as optimizing communication with different tour operators, effectively using social media and websites like TripAdvisor and Booking.com. Special attention was given to guest communication, both during their stay and even after they returned home through newsletters. Practical training on setting up newsletters, including database management, was also provided.

Hospitality, service, quality

Additionally, Mind Your Guest provided training for reception staff, hotel restaurants, and room service. Based on the comprehensive communication approach of the Model of Attention, the training aimed to ensure guests’ utmost satisfaction and maintain safety for hotel employees.

Follow-up mission

The successful mission, lasting over two weeks, was officially concluded with the distribution of certificates to all training participants. A follow-up mission is planned, and the participants will continue to receive support from the Netherlands.
